Funny story:

I went into his office to ask for an extension on my paper that was due Tuesday. He wasn't going to give it to me and went on some long explanation about how I didn't deserve an extension because I wasn't in class on Thursday. I kindly pointed out to him that I wasn't in class on Thursday because I was speaking at my best friend's funeral.

I've never seen a professor go from asshole to apologetic so fast. Little to say, I got the extension. Go me!

Well, he was a helpful person. Fixing beds, procuring paper extensions and giving away kittens to kittenless people like I was before he gave me a kitten.
