And, I just generally think you're awesome. I love your open-mindedness, which is particularly impressive when I consider your religious background.

This will either make you giggle or roll your eyes, but... the other day I thought of a non-frumpy use for plarn, and I was like, "OMG! I HAVE TO TELL SICKOFYOURBS!.....No, she's probably not in a crafty mood." And I was completely bummed out.

I'm not sure if this is a sign that I am a complete crafting nerd, that I have absolutely no hope socially, or that I'm just cracked in the head. But I HAVE been wondering how you're doing (and whether you're still on a quest to use plarn).

Haha. Well, life is getting quite a bit better, so I've been contemplating crafty-ness lately. I'm kinda working on a scarf for Gage... it looks quite awesome, but I'm doing intarsia knitting... tough stuff. Every row takes twice as long because I've got 4 bobbins of a contrasting color dangling off the back... I didn't think this project through very well.
But please, tell me of your use for plarn!

And as for what I like about you...
I think we have a lot in common. Hell, I know we have a lot in common. You're an open-minded mommy with a life of your own, and even more than that, you're not JUST a wife and mother. You're your own person, too... which is something I'm working on. I really look up to you in that respect.
And you're crafty. I love crafty people.

Thank you, very much, R. I guess I AM my own person, even though I spend a lot of time doubting who that person is and clueless about what she wants to be. I suppose I should stop fretting about it and just trust myself to figure it out; even though some of the decisions I've made in the past have been pretty dumb, I've turned out all right so far. :D

Intarsia is basically knitting in multiple colors. If you've ever seen those "fair isle" sweaters, that's intarsia. I'm doing a much less complicated project, but still... extra bobbins of yarn dangling off the back... not fun. It's not that complicated, really... just a little busy.
