... and we were off on a rainbow shooting across the bay as the afternoon rain lit up the faery pond. Dozens of faery greeted us on a luminescent lake bringing fruits and woven leaf pillows. They showed us the way to the dark castle where the princess waited in her snake lair....

....but they could not follow us past the gates of the dark castle. At the end, they gave us the gift of a torch that would never die, and would let is see through the horrible dark most surrounding the lair, and they wished us luck. We held onto each other in fright as we entered the castle, termbling but knowing that we had to steal back the key to the kingdom and restore the rightful queen to the throne.

...but we also know that we need to find the key. The serpent lair is at the bottom of the castle, in the deepest dungeon, far beneath the earth. We keep descending stairs. It gets colder as we go further and further down the steps, and right now the only thing that I am more thankful for than the light is the warmth of sicnet's sweet embrace, his arm around me to keep us both warm.

Sicnet pulls firessong close as they pass through the ice dungeon. Each step threatening to plunge both of them into a dark pit. Our breadth mingling together in the soft filtered light through the ice ceiling. The glow of the torch creates a sparkling room of blue and gold as the firelight coalesces with each ice column.
