Weekend hits
Quick hits for the weekend:
- Although we were down a man, we recorded a new episode of Hillbilly Sports this morning, and it's now available on the iTunes Music Store for free download. In this episode, we discuss Dallas' release of TO and the continuation of the NFL free agent market, the MLB arrival of one Rodriguez (Manny) but departure of another (Alex), Shaq's "flopping" controversy, and the upcoming Duke-Carolina game. This was a huge podcast for us because it was the first one where we cut in actual quotes from athletes and coaches. It's not that difficult to do in Garage Band, although it did greatly increase our edit time. I'm not 100% content with where we currently are, but the podcast is coming along nicely. We also have a growing audience, and you should join that group!
- Unfortunately, the podcast took all day and we weren't able to go out and film anything else. We have tentative plans to shoot my Career Builder commercial either tonight or tomorrow morning, but it's looking more and more like the latter. The girlfriend and I have double date plans with my hillbilly cohort John and his wife - dinner and then the exciting world of board games. Both of our ladies are in school (mine on Saturdays, his on Sundays) and we worked all day, so it will be nice to kick back and relax a bit (as opposed to our general plan of going out all night). Bring on the "Scene-It!"
- Editing Tom's commercial (since he's in Florida this week) is moving right along, and we should have it ready well in advance of the Tuesday deadline. I'll go more into my editing notes when it is posted.
