They can share basically anything with 3rd parties without your permission... your info, pictures, what websites you visit, and so on.

Sounds like what Facebook is turning into. It's amazing. Have you seen the changes in Facebook's privacy policy over the years?

Sure, you could change the settings, but it's so buried that it's too limiting for the general end user to even bother trying to change.
