Mysore Dussehra

By any account , the week gone by was an eventful one. Visited mysore. Was there for two days (oct 12 and 13). It was a two-fold and hectic mysore visit. The first priority was to witness the Dussehra Festivities @ Mysore and the second (the lesser) priority was to visit places in & around mysore(Chamundi Hills, Brindavan Garden, Sri Ranga ( Read more... )

I finally know what "Kaazaaa!" is all about, but now I have to know what a "jhaaki" is.

A procession comprises of a number of different snapshots from different walks of life/events.

These snapshots are "jhaakis".

E.G. : Suppose you have a procession to showcase different festivals you celebrate in US. so you cud have different "jhaakis" one showcasing christmas and another one showing easter..another one showcasing Thanksgiving .
