So without hope, we'd all be happier. If you dont know what you're missing, you don't miss it. Of course, this requires an elaborate scheme of 'compartmentalizing' people, so they are only aware of themselves and people like them. And that is not possible in today's world. So I'd go with the former passage anyday. Hope is all there really is.

btw, If you like reading I suggest you read Brave New World if you haven't already? I just read it last year, so I'm no pundit, but anyway.

so u want to close the discussion with a difinative statement like "that is not possible in today's world." ??? ....hehehe just pulling your leg...

yup...will try...but if its too heavy (big words and long sentences)...I might ask u for the gist...reading "Freedom at midnight" now...good one...but way to "heavy' hence am going too slow...

No big words, but I can't be too sure about the length of the sentences :p Not heavy, IMO. I should put that book on the list.
