days 4&5
So. things didn't go quite as expected.
Got up, broke fast, and eventually made my way to Tito's hostel to say goodbye. Made my way to the train station in time, and enjoyed a suprisingly short ride from London to Brussles, talking with the guy next to me. When I arrived, I made a reservation at a hostel, and made my way to the bank to withdrawl money. Or should I say "tried to withdrawl money", as none of the ATM's would take my card. After noticing that I only had about 25 euros, I proceeded to panic for about half an hour. I then made my way to the main square, sat down and came up with a plan. I decided to take the train to germany since deutchebank has a deal with mine, however when I got to the station, the agent informed me that there were deutchebank's all over belgum, and if I was going to go somewhere, I might as well go where I was heading next (NL), instead of into another country, only to come back to NL. He also informed me that there are deutchebank's in NL, so I made the decistion to wing it and head to Amsterdam, since I had to meet strick there on thursday anyways. So here I am. I got in around midnight, wandered around a bit, and settled down at a nice place called hotel winston. All of the rooms are painted by local artists, and mine just so happens to have a awesomely arousing 8 foot diagonal picture of a naked woman sucking on her finger!
day 5:
Woke up, paid for my room for another night, then loafed around for a bit. I then walked to a bike rental place, got a bike and began riding around town. Did some general exploring and photo taking, then made my way to "The Heinekin Expierence", a Heinekin brewery converted into a multi-media tour about how Heinekin is made. The tour included stops at 2 bars, and a total of 3 free beers.
I then rode around a bit more, eventually had some pretty tastey foods, and now here I am in a coffee shop.
I have to go back through Brussels to take the train back to London, so hopefully I can leave enough time in my schedule to spend a day or two there.
