Mad props to Sennheiser, who instead of simply fixing my HD280's, send me a brand new pair. Unfortunately this means putting a new pair through a break in, but I can deal. Weee!

I can totally recommend the Sennheiser HD280Pro's. They're suprisingly good for the price, though a slight bit heavy. They're usually around $100. If you're looking for something more portable/light, the etymotic er-6i's are awesome(~$150). They're in-ear monitors, basically ear plugs with drivers built in. Both the Sennheisers and Etymotic's are excellent at noise isolation (ety's are slightly better), with the ety's having a slightly accented bass range to make up for the underpowered amps in the portables they're made to go with.

Check out www.headphone.com for pretty good info and prices. They've got a pair called the Ultimate Ears super.fi 3's, which are cheaper than the er-6i's.

Gimmie a holler if you have any q's
