Someone's leaving 'CSI'

It had to happen eventually, but the question now becomes whether the show has jumped the shark because of recent storylines, or whether it can redeem itself this season.

I know I shouldn't gloat... okay, and I'm not gloating outwardly... much. *does a little happy dance*

Eeeew, they got together??? That's gross. I haven't really watched since, like, second year. I really like Jorja Fox -- mostly because of WW -- but I thought her and Grissom were kinda just ... ew.

Yeah, even WORSE... Grissom apparently proposes next week! I shudder just remembering that promo. I really have nothing against Jorja Fox herself, but her character totally makes me cringe every time she's on screen. I really quite like the rest of the show though, so I hope her departure's a fresh start for CSI.

CSI, the mother of all procedural dramas, are everything that is wrong with television. Bones doesn't count because Bones does not take itself seriously, especially not as a procedural (see also: Boreanaz, David; casting of). I hate CSI and all that it has done to the world.

That's... nice. Yes, most procedural crime dramas take themselves very seriously, but it doesn't matter because I don't take them seriously. They certainly aren't an accurate depiction of real life.

(Be sure to note that there is undoubtedly meant to be an exception to the reality show argument in The Amazing Race, owing to Phil Keoghan, and Detours, a choice between two tasks, each with its own pros and cons.)
