well it was a super long, tedious, & painfull process. but it was well worth it. you know how the ends of your dreads are kinda rounded off. cut it. cut about a 1/2 an inch off a dread and start combing. you will lose hair. lots and lots of hair. all you need is time, patience, and a good rat tail comb. and i preferred to comb them out while my hair was dry. i know it seems more logical to comb them out while wet but it makes it a lot more dificult. you'll find that there is years or months of stuff that is trapped in your locks. mostly just fuzz from pillows and sweaters and stuff but its trapped inside your lock. youll see it clearly when you clip the ends. but when you wash your hair that fuzz becomes this damp stuff that just makes things really really difficult. i hope this helped and good luck.
