"I'd do it if I could, I hope you know I would."

So I watched The Notebook last night. I don't get what all the big damn deal is about this movie. I can't talk to a woman without her sobbing all over me about The Notebook. So against my better judgement, I Netflix-ed it. It was cliche and kinda dull...sad and somewhat depressing too. I guess I'm just not one for Love Stories, at least not ( Read more... )

I am glad I'm not the only one who didn't get the big deal with The Notebook and also that I wasn't the only one who did nothing but fantasize about Ryan Gosling during almost the entire movie.

Plus, I don't really care for the chick in the movie that he's in love with. She's whiny.

I used to enjoy love stories but these days it's all the same thing.

Allie was very unlikable. I don't know what was supposed to be so endearing about her. I thought she sucked. :) The actress (Rachel McSomething) had a good gig though, right? There are worse ways to spend your day besides making out with Ryan Gosling.

Dood. Call me a sap or whatever but I looooved that movie. I thought it was incredible. I was intrigued the entire time. Yeah, Rachel McAdams' character was not completely likable the entire time, but the story was incredible. I cried and sobbed and bawled my eyes out at the end ... I kinda knew it was coming but I didn't want it to end that way.

You two are nutty. WHERE ARE YOUR HEARTS?!

I boycotted the Notebook, my grandmother however found the romance too "fevered" she didn't approve, so the notebook has brought some enjoyment to me, just so I could tell my grams how much I enjoyed being "fevered"

*gets all fevered with Jenn*

It was racier than I thought it would be. I definitely wouldn't have wanted to watch it with my mom or son.

*diggin the fever*

God, my sister and mom can't shut UP about this damn movie. I read the book, and that was bad enough.

I hate love sappy love stories too. I prefer a romantic comedy.

Ugh, the very idea of reading the book makes me queasy.

totally random interjection perhaps, but Late at night is just a great song...the quiet desperation of bill janovitz's voice...:)

(btw...I love Buffalo Tom)

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Late At Night. The brilliance lies in the melancholy.
