never hitched in the UK, but have (for short trips) in other places for fun... used to live there though, when i was younger and rememberd this one guy out trying to get a ride on the M25 on one of the onramps... just out of curiosity how long did it take you to get a ride? and where did you stand? (realizing you wern't out very long, and being a female always helps)
um, sometimes we got a lift straight away but we were at a motorway junction for about an hour before we got picked up and we spent 2 hours in telford before someone gave us a lift! standing at roundabouts is pretty good, (or anywhere were traffic has to slow down..)especially roundabouts with traffic lights cuz then the traffic has to stop. and service stations, cuz you can talk to people. if not we just stood by the side of the road and tried to stand somewhere where there was room for the car to pull over. who is this by the way?
a friend of izis (your in her friends list... got bored and read thru like everyone on there... ya know... being sick has its benifits, and downsides somtimes)
Sometimes being on your own at gigs is the best. You can really appreciate the bands. And get so excited before they come on stage. But nevertheless, there are some bands that I wouldn't want to see without certain people being next to me.
