Would you be impressed if I told you I was famous in Thailand? Hmmm... With absolutely no connection to Asia, I had to think about that one too

Wow, that is a blast from the past--I had assumed that David had dropped the LEGO book project, since I don't think he's been at any of the recent AFOL gatherings. The last time I talked to him was over two years ago, I think. But maybe he's just changed the focus of his book a bit, since it sounds like he's really getting into the heart of the company more than the fan culture. Of course, I'm sure he's now going to focus on someone who quickly went "from zero to hero" instead...
In other words, I think we'll be able to consider his book "Jamie's Tale!"
We had a deal, man! : )

Dude, you gave someone else your book deal??? I'm shocked and dismayed and confused and--dare I say--traumatized. Do years of bonding over spicy fries, baskets 'o and sharing our dreams 'neath the pines of our Camp Onway--you know the one...by old Onway Lake? You remember! It was that place we used to linger...just for old time's sake?--mean so little? You've made a fool of me, my friend; a stupid fool. I sit here a stupid, illiterate fool, and the world just laughs.
Although...perhaps working with a writer who actually has a publishing deal behind him might be a better career move for you. : ) Hmm. Okay, hard to fault you when I look at it that way.
All right, objection withdrawn--although when the bidding war starts between K'Nex, MegaBlocks, and Lego for the totally rad and kick-ass Ahearn Mour design contract (the "Sacking of Talis Adventure Play Set" alone is going to be epic and legen-waitforit-dary) don't forget this day!
