Wow, my internet died recently too, I wonder if it was all connected.
About the introductory rate of comcast- It's not introductory, if you ask them for it again, they'll give it to you. When it was time for my rate to go, I told them I was going to cancel the acct because it was too expensive (at $60/mo.) They said they had a deal for $50/mo I said nope, still too much. Then they asked how much I would pay per month. I told them $30, they put me on hold, then said okay, $30 it is. Yah, I think I actually made a post about this a while ago.

Yea... I was thinking (and hoping) they'd do that to keep me, but they wouldn't... They knew I was quitting because of cost only and the only offer they gave me was "oh... well we can give you $33/mo for 2 more months"... And didn't offer me anything better/longer... They just let me go : /

Oh well. Not much I can do.

i think that norcal SBC is much more suxor than socal SBC. While I'm sure there are still many problems, I have had no problems with my connection since i got here. In sactown i used to go down nightly at first then about once a week. it was always later at night which made it annoying cuz the techs will only come out until around 9 (or so i remember). they kept claiming it was farther up the line and then did nothing else about it. A few times they told us someone was leeching the line. The connection would improve for a bit then sux again.

Yea... It seems like with SBC you either have no problems at all, or you have all sorts of problems they wont fix, haha. I've known quite a few people who never had a problem, but when you do, they aren't very helpful.

One of those "great as long as you don't have to call them about any problems" type situations, haha.

I've actually made it to lvl 2 techs quite a few times w/ SBC. They actually are here in America. I've also delt with so many lvl 1s that I could probably do their job for them (except I'd actually want to get paid a decent amount).
