Those things should never be 'pointless' and it is heartbreaking that he never got to experience those. But you know he's watching over us and glowing with pride that RENT is still being performed 8 times a week on that stage.
I hope to be sitting in the Nederlander sometime in the near future, feeling everything you feel when you sit there. I really hope.

That is very sad, but I'm sure he's proud of what's happened w/ the show.
