First, thank you for offering to create something for me and one of my rare ships for this exchange. I’m really excited to see what you will come up with, no matter which of my ships you may choose. I’ll get right to it with my general likes/DNWs and then try to include a few prompts for each request.

John Munch/Odafin “Fin” Tutuola
I think I say this every exchange where I request these two, so I apologize, but-I seriously love them so much I honestly would be happy with any kind of shippy story for them. Domestic fluff to heavy smut; getting together first-times or old married couple sweet-crabbiness; original case fic (provided their relationship is centrally important) to missing scenes from episodes.
As far as specific prompts-and trying to think of things I’m not currently prompting for in other running exchanges where I requested them-well, I’m always up for some good old fashioned, cliched and trope-y hurt/comfort, especially if it leads to a revelation of feelings by the end. I’m also interested in stories where Munch & Fin work towards appreciating each other’s cultural and religious (or non-religious) backgrounds better, too. Perhaps celebrating a holiday with one or the other’s family, or simply trying to understand small differences in point of view that come from the things they grew up learning and experiencing, seeing in their communities, etc.
I’d also enjoy a story where they’ve been together for a long time and have settled into maybe too-comfortable a routine. Working and living and happy together, but, one or both realize the fire has been neglected for too long and it’s time to re-ignite the sex life, romance and passion that was once there. Maybe it’s by going on a secluded getaway somewhere or a great vacation adventure. Or maybe it just means one of them taking a surprise initiative to try something new and daring in the bedroom…
Art-wise, I'd love any image of their day-to-day romantic life. Breakfast/reading in bed; taking a walk through Central Park on a snowy day; getting dressed for a day at work or a special event, etc.
Alejandro Pavel/Kwasi "Ken" Randall (L&O: SVU)
Something to expand upon their relationship as we were introduced to in “Learning Curve”, please! A story about how they first met would be sweet, or some h/c as Ken helps Alejandro recover, emotionally and physically, from his rape and assault. I’d like to see how they navigated the effects of that to actually getting married, and then deciding to have a child. Anything that gives us more of the story of their relationship, I would love. (I’d also be thrilled with something involving both Ken & Alejandro and Fin & John, if you so wished; the former couple maybe trying to deal with the latter spoiling their kid rotten :D (Yes, this is one ship where I’m all on board and ok with kid!fic.)) Art-wise, a cute couple portrait would be lovely. Maybe their first date, first kiss, or a family portrait with their child?
John Munch/Original Character (L&O: SVU)
Retirement from the NYPD is hard on John Munch…until he finally meets someone who gives him a new direction and motivation in life. Maybe it’s someone at the DA’s office where he’s working now and they grow closer while on a case there, or it could be someone entirely outside of work, as he’s trying to find new things to do and interests to explore to stay busy and active. Maybe it’s even the first time he’s ever been interested in a man-or the first time he’s been attracted to a man who is also bisexual, or gay. (I'm very, very cool with this being a big age-gap ship, by the way. If you feel like it.)
John Munch/Brian Cassidy (L&O: SVU)
Something set after Brian & Liv break up-for the second time :) John is there to help both of his old friends get through the break up blues, and it turns out he and Brian have a lot of unresolved old feelings for each other still, going back to when they were first partners all those years before.
Chicago Justice
Peter Stone/Original Male Character
I thought this show had so much great potential, and it satisfied so much of my craving for mothership-style Law & Order of old, that I’m incredibly upset it’s been cancelled. It really deserved more of a chance than NBC gave it, and I particularly mourn for the loss of Peter Stone, who was such a great character.
I definitely saw the possibility that Stone could be bi (if not very quietly/closeted gay, perhaps thanks to his years in professional baseball) but I can’t say I picked up any specific slashy chemistry between him and other show characters. So that’s why I’d really enjoy a story pairing Peter with an OMC. Maybe he had been involved with another team member back in his sports days, and they cross paths again some years later. Maybe even related to a case that Peter is prosecuting. Or it could be a sexy defense attorney where the sparks flying between him and Peter in the courtroom take on a different tone once a case is over. Basically, I’d love to learn more about Peter Stone through the eyes of a romantic or sexual partner.
Homicide: Life on the Street
Mike Kellerman/John Munch
I’ve just finished a rewatch up through the finale of season 6 and I am having all of the Kellerman feels right now, after his whole fall-from-grace storyline. It’s just…oh man, it punched me in the gut. It also gets to me how, at this point, there have been so many times when John has just escaped being shot/being in a terrible shootout (first during the warrant-serve when Gordon Pratt shot Kay, Beau and Stan; then when he and Mike are leaving the hotel and Mike gets clipped in “Blood Ties”; in "Fallen Heroes" when he’s at the Waterfront with Billy Lou while the entire squadroom is being shot up by Junior Bunk.) I mean, that’s got to be fucking with his head. I’d love a story where John & Mike stay in contact after Mike leaves the force and they open up to each other about their personal shit-Mike and his suicidal thoughts and shooting Luther, maybe John confesses to killing Pratt so he understands entirely that need for revenge, being pushed to your limits. It could also be set a few years into the future when John has moved to New York, their paths cross again and all those old, haunting memories come back. And it seems like they're the only people who can understand what they each have been through.
Tim Bayliss/John Munch
When Tim starts coming out about being bisexual, he gets a lot of flack and confusion from his coworkers who don’t seem to get it. What if John is the one who can sympathize and understand because he’s had his share of experiences with men as well? (He’s just kept it much quieter through the years.)
Frank Pembleton/Tim Bayliss
I love love love FranknTim! For any of my prompts, please go AU that Mary does not come back to Frank after she leaves him during Season 5. (I don't like infidelity, and while I do OT3 them a bit this isn't the exchange for that :D ) So, that time when Frank invites Tim over for dinner, in “Kaddish”. What if. What if dinner led to something more that night? Or, anything set around/during the events of Fallen Heroes and Tim taking a bullet for Frank. Does it lead Frank to realize the depth of his feelings for Tim? Does he turn in his badge not just because he feels he can’t do the job anymore, but because he feels it’s the only way he can really be with Tim, confess how much he loves him?
Crossovers
One of the things I love about this exchange is the chance to request a bunch of crossover ships I’d love to see written! Mostly because I think the dynamics in these that I’m requesting would be incredibly interesting and fun to explore.
I realize a lot of my prompts here could take well more than 1,000 words to set up and fully realize. So if you have an idea for a hot quickie one-shot, feel free to go with that instead! I just thought I’d throw out my ideas for how and why I’d be interested in seeing these pairs interact in more detail:
John Munch (Law & Order: SVU)/Methos (Highlander)
I’ll just start by mentioning that I’m only familiar with the Highlander tv series and first movie, not any of the other movies or canon sources (many of which I’m told suck, at least as far as the movies go, so feel free to ignore them as I do!). But I’ve always loved Highlander for its concept and crossover potential with so many other shows and characters. It simply seems made for crossovers :)
Specifically with Munch and Methos, I have to think the snark and sass with these two would just be too delicious! I’d love a story where somehow they cross paths and John discovers Methos’ immortality and learns about the Watchers, the Game, etc. I’m sure John would be going mad to find out a lot of the secrets of past history (and conspiracies!) that Methos must know about. (Maybe John becomes a Watcher himself?) Or maybe Munch is an Immortal as well…that would certainly explain why and how he seems to show up in so many different canon universes, wouldn’t it? (Feel free to go with either Baltimore Homicide or New York SVU-era Munch here, honestly, I’m well-versed in both universes.)
Joe Dawson (Highlander)/John Munch (Law & Order: SVU)
What if Munch has secretly been a Watcher all these years, and the two meet up to share stories,misadventures, an old friends-with-benefits relationship? Otherwise a story similar to my Methos idea where John first learns about Immortals and The Game, this time somehow via Joe. Maybe Munch ends up in Joe’s club and they bond over the joys and sorrows of running a bar…things happen over drinks and…you can fill in the rest! (Again, I’m good with either SVU or Homicide-era Munch here.)
Tim Bayliss (Homicide: LOTS)/Methos (Highlander)
I can imagine some pretty intense sexual chemistry between these two, and also Tim struggling with the idea of immortality after he’s gone through exploring his spiritual beliefs. Perhaps Tim becomes Immortal and thinks he can’t cope with it, he’s still too plagued by guilt over killing Luke Ryland and can’t imagine taking part in the Game. Methos could be there for him to help him dealt with that guilt and move on…I just think they’d be fascinating together.

Something hot and smoking with this threesome, please! Tim ends up crossing paths with John & Brian in New York somehow, and finds out they have more than a work partnership going on between them. One of the two crossover ships I’m requesting where they actually have met and interacted in canon! Stealing from my SmutSwap letter earlier this year, Munch & Briscoe basically define this meme I stole off the otpmusings tumblr:
"Okay but instead of shipping the grumpy one with the cinnamon roll, imagine shipping two grumpy ones. Just being salty about fucking everything together all the time. Having the same salty philosophy on life and snickering at other people’s idiocy 24/7.”
I'd love something smutty that involved wordplay, bantering as foreplay, kind of an intelligence kink capturing the snark and witty banter that always made them so much fun to watch on screen. It's a day off, neither wants to get out of bed and do much; Sunday morning sex while or after bitching about the news and the general state of the world; verbal one-upmanship while trying to distract the other with *ahem* other well-practiced skills in the bedroom. This could be either after Munch has moved to New York (maybe they even lived together for a while? Munch crashing at Briscoe's until he found his own place?), or earlier during the Homicide/L&O crossover days. Another set-up could be over the fact that they are eskimo brothers, thanks to Gwen. One-upmanship and challenges leading to seeing who's a better kisser, who's got more impressive "equipment", and things go, well, you can guess where from there.
John Reese (Person of Interest)/Ezekiel Stone (Brimstone)
Ezekiel Stone still has one last damned soul to send back to Hell…and it ends up being someone whose number has come up. Which is especially bewildering to Finch & Reese when that person is dead. Just one plot idea I have for them! I find the idea of these two together interesting as they’re both quiet, serious people hiding a lot of pain and emotion beneath the surface, looking for redemption in their own ways by helping people. Between John’s incredible skills (and tolerance for injury) and Zeke’s inhuman strengths and inability to feel pain, I just see major potential of both the plot and sexual spark varieties! (This could even get violently kinky, and I’d be ok with that totally in this case.)
Mike Dodds (Law & Order: SVU)/Peter Stone (Chicago Justice)
AU where Mike doesn’t die (dammit). For some reason these two seem like they could be really intensely hot together and I’d love to see those sparks fly. Maybe Mike transfers to Chicago after his “near”-fatal shooting, and that’s when they first meet & connect? Feel free to ignore Mike’s out-of-nowhere fiance, Alice. Or, use her as an excuse for why he moved to Chicago (since that’s where she was from) but then their relationship fell apart before they married…maybe because Mike was too deep in the closet to realize his own feelings until he meets Peter?
Jack McCoy (Law & Order)/Paul Falsone (Homicide: LOTS)
This is a weird request, I know. But I couldn’t help but feel some really interesting sparks between them in the “Baby It’s You” 2-part crossover, especially in that scene where they’re drinking together in the bar. So…AU where they end up going back to Paul’s place to continue talking, drinking, and other things end up happening?

- Casefic, stories that capture at least some of that feel of the original source canon.
- Missing scenes, provided they are more than just regurgitating the events of an episode. I like them when they really show us more about what may have motivated characters actions, or what happened next, especially if it was something emotional for one/both of the ship characters yet not necessarily ever followed up on, on screen.
- Romance and relationships through the years: couples growing old together, reflections on how time changes people and their views on what they want from life and what love/romance means to them.
- Hurt/comfort (especially emotional h/c) - as long as there is lots of comforting and it’s not just a whump!fic.
- Sexy fun that isn’t all about penetration. I love frot, oral sex, 69, extended kissing scenes, characters so turned on by each other that they can hardly last beyond some sensual touching, erotic massage, etc.
- Couples that are happy and clearly complete without kids
- Age gap ships
- Canon-divergent AUs: looking at how things might have happened differently if just one critical thing changed (someone didn’t die/retire/transfer in or out; characters meeting under different circumstances; someone ending up in trouble with the law instead of perhaps getting away with a serious crime.)
- I’m equally good with explicit smutty fics and simply romantic/relationship stories with no sexual content whatsoever-as long as the story still shows that the characters are more than simply friends, or there’s a distinct longing/pining for them to be so by at least one of the characters involved.
- In art, I really love varied styles and techniques. Everything from cute/stylistic chibis to realistic sketches and painting styles. In fact it's just one of my favorite things to see how different artists can interpret the same characters. I have a hard time really coming up with art prompts for most of my ships, I'm afraid, but I do love scenes of the couples making small romantic gestures and sharing touches/glances, helping each other dress-or undress, cuddling, spooning, etc.
General Do Not Wants:
- HARD DNW: Pregnancy/kidfic. Please, nothing that suggests or promotes the idea that a person/couple can’t truly be happy and fulfilled until or unless they have children. (I only have one exception to this below.)
- Public humiliation/embarrassment.
- BDSM beyond the playful use of restraints, sensory denial, or spanking (unless specifically requested for certain ships where I could totally see and want it to get rough).
- Other kink-related DNWs: bloodplay, watersports, scat, sounding.
- Main character death, permanent injury/mutilation.
