Thanks for offering one of my requests! I’m very excited to see what you may come up with for me and I hope this letter will perhaps inspire some ideas...and I’ll try not to be too long-winded while I’m at it.
General likes, as might apply for this exchange:
- I generally prefer happy endings, even happy-sad or happy-angsty endings, over ones that are overwhelmingly sad or depressing.
- I’m ok with any rating, gen to explicit smut.
- I love snuggling, massages, shared showers/baths, along with sexy fun that isn’t all about penetration. “Yes please” to frot, oral, 69, extended kissing scenes, characters so turned on by each other that they can hardly last beyond some sensual touching, erotic massage, etc.
- Domestic fluff, established relationships, characters growing old(er) together and finding new ways to be/fall in love with their partners all over again.
- Soulmate AUs with a twist - that is, where it’s not all hearts and happily ever after the first moment they see each other.
General DNWS:
- Pregnancy/kidfic, unless specifically requested. Debating or discussing the possibility of having children is fine, but I’d prefer no implications that a person or couple isn’t “complete” without children.
- Cheating/infidelity within a requested relationship, even if there is a happy ending.
- Public humiliation/embarrassment (unless it’s humiliating Elliot Stabler.)
- BDSM beyond the playful use of restraints, sensory denial, or spanking.

Re: Fanart. I absolutely would ADORE getting fan art, either as a main gift or treat, but I have a terrible time coming up with specific art prompts. Especially considering that art is so rare if not outright non-existent for most of the ships I’m requesting, I am not joking in saying I would love ANYTHING art-wise you could come up with. Any style, any color scheme (or black and white), etc. If it’s a ship I’ve written before (https://archiveofourown.org/users/sidewinder), I would be over-the-moon for art that was inspired by or illustrating a scene from one of those stories. But beyond that, please, go wild and I’m sure I would be thrilled with whatever you might come up with.
The Orville
I love this show for the way it can be so goofy yet also take on social/moral issues and classic science fiction tropes so well. There’s a human touch and element to it all that makes it feel so, well, real in a way Star Trek rarely did for me. I love pretty much all the characters on this show, so feel free to bring any of them in, in supporting roles here (any background ships, too!)
Gordon Malloy/Ed Mercer
I’d love something for these two set in the alternative timeline of the season 2 finale “The Road Not Taken”-something bleak, but happy-sad? Finding comfort in each other while desperately trying to survive under Kaylon attack. Alternatively, something fun and goofy from their past misadventures together at Union Point? Or slowly realizing, after all the events of season 2 and all of their romantic mishaps and failures, that they really belong together after all of this time?
John LaMarr/Gordon Malloy
These two goofballs...I’d just love anything with them getting into misadventures and trouble together. A vacation gone wrong (Canadian shack? An entire planet that’s, like Canadian Shack world?), an away mission where they have to deal with alien cultures and traditions (Fuck or die? Public sex for the sake of Union relations?) A soulmate-with-a-twist situation? Accidental soulmate due to alien technology or artifacts?
Bortus/Klyden
I know everyone hates on Klyden these days, but I have a more sympathetic and complex view on the character. We know Klyden had gender reassignment surgery as an infant, and I’m sure was raised to believe that this was the only/right choice. I feel he has a lot of ingrained, internalized misogyny as a result (no doubt strongly reinforced by his own parents and societal pressure) and to consider that there could have been an alternative--the way Bortus challenged him with their own child--had to have been difficult for him. Maybe too difficult to even want to think about so he has only doubled-down on his adherence to traditional Moclan culture and “values”. So if you’re up for it, I’d love a story of these two working through those issues, not necessarily a “redemption” story for Klyden but one that has him in some way acknowledging these points and coming to terms with his own past and identity. Honestly at the end of the day Bortus is my favorite character on the show and I just want him to be in a happy, loving relationship, and I do believe he loves Klyden but they just have so much conflict to overcome.
Law & Order SVU
John Munch/Odafin “Fin” Tutuola
What can I say about these two that I haven’t in, like...every other exchange I’ve signed up for in the past 4 years or so? (So please feel free to look at any of those old letters for inspiration). They really are a ship I’d love anything for that fits my general likes. For something more specific, season 20 did give us some more backstory on Fin, including about his mother being killed when he was young and a past partner he had a romantic relationship with. I’d love some missing scenes/episode-expanding fic about any of these events. When did John ever find out about Fin’s mother and what happened to her, for example?
Brian Cassidy/Peter Stone (SVU)
Re-using some of my hurt/comfort exchange prompts for this one.
Childhood Trauma/Learning to be Loved/Past Rape/Non-con/Comforter Rains Down Retribution On Hurt Character's Behalf/Revelation of Past Rape
Obviously these prompts are all related to “Facing Demons” and I really want to see some post-episode follow-up with these two. Can Peter help Brian get past what happened to him as a child? Poor Brian just seems so broken, I want to see him realize he deserves love and he’s not “damaged goods” the way he seems to think he is.

Alternatively, Peter and Brian trapped together at the DA’s office one night during a blizzard? This could be a lot more silly and sweet, though obviously with still a focus on hurt!Brian and maybe the isolation giving them the quiet time to talk and open up.
Dominick "Sonny" Carisi Jr./Peter Stone (SVU)
I’m so pissed that Stone is leaving, because I really was a fan--and I loved his dynamic with Sonny.
For something lighter/fluffy: Established relationship where Peter takes Sonny back to Chicago, to share some of his favorite things about the city? Maybe set after the events of Season 20, Peter debating whether to stay in New York or go back home.=
Oz
So I’m very late to the party with Oz--I only finally watched it all earlier this year. And of course, in my typical fashion, I fell for all the rare ships instead of the big one. (Note that I don’t necessarily dislike Beecher/Keller, I just felt satisfied with what we saw on screen of it.)
Miguel Alvarez/Ray Mukada
Ray seeking to comfort Miguel during his (many) stays in solitary. Ray struggling with his religion and faith but he can’t deny his attraction. You know, all that good stuff.

Dirty/silly/wrong bad smut with these two, please. They were both such delightful bastards in their own way.
Tobias Beecher/Kareem Said
Their friendship and support was so good, so pure, so angsty. So of course I want some smut that takes it to another level, lol. Said struggling with his religious beliefs about homosexuality being wrong, yet he cannot deny what is in his heart. And poor Beecher, the woobiest of all woobies to ever woobie on tv, he deserves some love from a man who would treat him better than Keller ever did.
The Resident
Randolph Bell/Conrad Hawkins
I mostly watch this show for Bruce Greenwood, who is just such a delicious Magnificent Bastard as Randolph Bell. Seriously, he’s the character I love to hate, but who also, at his core, actually does seem to have a moral compass...it’s just easily thrown off kilter by his ego, greed and (sometimes) lust. The tension between him and cocky Conrad is just delicious to me, so I’d love a story that takes that tension to a sexual level. Does Conrad desperately need a favor/something overlooked for the sake of a patient’s health, and Randolph agrees but wants a “favor” in return? Something like that would be absolutely delicious to me.
The Police

I’m going to be lazy and recycle my Hurt/Comfort exchange prompts for this ship! But it’s also one where I’d be thrilled with anything that matches my general likes as well. They’re just one of my eternal ship loves and there’s not nearly enough fic about them.

I would absolutely love any of these prompts set during the time period of the reunion tour…dealing with all of their past (emotional/sexual) issues and trying to put things right, or just dealing with each other with greater emotional maturity now that they’re older.
Trapped In Elevator
A silly prompt for either their younger days or the reunion tour. Whatever would they do to pass the time waiting for rescue? Does one of them have a panic attack while trapped? Do they end up getting in a brawl that only makes matters worse?
Post-Apocalypse
Crack fic or serious. Any kind of apocalypse-type story. Are they somehow forced to survive together, whether they want to or not? Facing the end of the world and having to admit to how they really feel before it’s too late?

My love for this cracky drummer ’ship has returned in full of late, so I’ve got a ton of ideas for stories I’d love to read about them. The above are all sort of angsty-Stew ideas; anything where he’s not sure if Taylor is really in love with/wanting to be with him instead of someone else (Dave? An ex-wife/girlfriend?) Or worrying about the difference in their ages and what that could mean down the line, or if Taylor might want to have (more?) children when Stew is well and truly past and over those days.

A lot of these are little more silly/sweet ideas. I love soulmate aus so something where they share injuries and pain? Maybe with long distance comforting when one or the other is on the road touring? Both seem to have their klutzy side or tendencies (especially Stewart, actually, between breaking his collarbone playing polo once, hurting his elbow bike riding which in part cost him one touring gig in the past. So I guess that would be a bit more “both hurt” if they’re sharing pain, but…interpret as you will, please!)
Sex Mishaps could play into the above idea too - they try something “new” and it doesn’t work out as planned and the after-effects are not that fun when one/both have to perform soon afterwards?
The last two could be combined in some good old emotional h/c, too. Post-breakup with someone else, Taylor moves in with Stewart for support? And one thing leads to another…
Lionel Luthor (Smallville)/Randolph Bell (The Resident TV 2018)
What could be better than TWO Magnificent Bastard characters in one fic? What if Randolph did his residency at Metropolis General, and one night had Lionel as a patient (or, what if he was trying to get a highly valued residency at Metropolis General and came to Lionel for a recommendation/support, and they struck a “bargain”?) The more dirty/bad/wrong with these two, the better.
Elliot Stabler (Law & Order SVU)/Ray Mukada (Oz TV)
Chris Keller was an evil psychopath, and Ray knew it...yet he couldn’t deny the sexual attraction, the sexual power Chris had over everyone. Some day, somehow, Ray runs into Elliot and those feelings return, yet Elliot is clearly not Chris despite the physical resemblance.
The Devil (Brimstone)/Lucifer (Lucifer)
So two devils walk into a bar...Lucifer’s bar? Some interdimensional bar between universes? I have no idea, I just think it would be neat (and hot) to see these two compare Hells, daddy issues, keeping demons in check, etc….
Abe Morgan (Forever TV)/John Munch (Law & Order SVU)
I have this headcanon that these two had to know each other/be friends back in their hippie/60s days. So I’d love a story about that time, some young!Abe and young!John having a fun affair and getting up to trouble together. Or meeting (again?) in NYC while John is a detective at SVU and Abe is running his antique shop. A casefic would be absolutely delicious!
Methos (Highlander)/John Munch (Homicide: Life on the Street)
I have to think the snark and sass with these two would just be too delicious! I’d love a story where somehow they cross paths and John discovers Methos’ immortality and learns about the Watchers, the Game, etc. I’m sure John would be going mad to find out a lot of the secrets of past history (and conspiracies!) that Methos must know about. (Maybe John becomes a Watcher himself?) Or maybe Munch is an Immortal as well…that would certainly explain why and how he seems to show up in so many different canon universes, wouldn’t it? (Feel free to go with either Baltimore Homicide or New York SVU-era Munch here, honestly, I’m well-versed in both universes.)
Joe Dawson (Highlander)/John Munch (Homicide: Life on the Street)
What if Munch has secretly been a Watcher all these years, and the two meet up to share stories and misadventures? Otherwise a story where John first learns about Immortals and The Game, somehow via Joe. Maybe Munch ends up in Joe’s club and they bond over the joys and sorrows of running a bar…(I’m good with either SVU or Homicide-era Munch here.)
