They Keep Killing Suzie, where Suzie comes back to life.
At the end, Ianto tells Jack that he still has his stopwatch, and there's this hideously awkward sexual innuendo about Jack clearing everyone else out of there in 10 minutes or less.
Which makes NO sense since Jack just killed Ianto's girlfriend a few weeks ago, and not to mention a stopwatch for innuendo? Really? I am hard pressed to think of anything LESS innuendo-ish. Totally flummoxed me.
Well, the killing of Ianto's girlfriend doesn't mean Ianto and Jack aren't still having at eachother, which they've had a long history of, adn will do thourgh the seasons. (Oops, is that a spoiler? Nah, too obvious.) Jack will screw anything he finds attractive: male, female, alien. He's omni-sexual. Which I imagine one becomes when one travels galaxies and times and realizes all these boundaries we erect are meaningless in the larger scope of the universe.
As for the stopwatch, yeh, it was silly and sort of pointless, except as a way to announce "Hey, Jack and Ianto have sex! But we're just teasing you now, you'll get to see some real snogging in other episodes, so don't change channels!" Maybe we just don't get juvenile humor?
I knew that about Jack, but I guess the Ianto thing came totally out of left-field to me. I never noticed any sort of flirtation between the two of them at all, ever!
I guess I'm just used to shows like Babylon 5, where the smallest interaction with elusive clues leads to giant plot points later on...and I read too much (serious plotline) into it until I came online and googled "Torchwood Stopwatch" and realized "oh...they're having sex??"
LOL :)
So far I'm enjoying Torchwood, but I deeeefinitely prefer Dr Who.
