Love them...and the hangers for them, too!

My father owned several (about 5, last I knew) original Muchas. At first I thought it was just three, because those were the ones framed on the walls. When going through the attic, I discovered two more. Had he been there, I might've gone deaf screaming my head off at him in that echoey space, for not just having them yet keeping them out of view, but for keeping them in a part of the house which regularly damaged things horribly.

Very cool :) So where are they now?

Knowing my parents, let's see... The ones that were unprotected in the attic are probably still there, art and history and genious slowly turning to melt and soot and rot and dust. The ones that were framed on the walls are probably still there, unless my mother changed anything about her interiour decor theme, in which case they were probably added to the attic. I like to hold out some hope that they were actually sold to a collector who would take appropriate care of them, but I rarely have much hope, where my parents are concerned.

I love these little glimpses into your wonderfully decorated life. :-) I should do it. (oh, wait. I'd have to learn how to upload pics second. First, I'd have to declutter. Don't hold your breath.)

I won't hold my breath, but it WOULD be fun to see! I love houses and decorating and glimpses into how other people do it.

Especially other kindred spirits :)

Were these tapestries through Allposters.com? I knew they had some but not for these images!

I ended up getting them through Pyramid Collection instead :( I wanted to get them from Allposters so that we could give you a commission, but there it would have been $200 for two framed pictures, whereas the tapestries were $100 for two...!

Your bed looks like it needs one of those 'new' (I don't know how new they really are, but relatively new to me anyway) diy "headboards" ... where you take a piece of plywood, cut a curvy shape at the top then pad and cover in rich material. Oh! As I typed that ... maybe your 3 yards of velvet!

I'm actually thinking of getting a bed frame with some of my tax return money. It looks a bit like this one:

Yep, Pyramid Collection! I think they were out of stock for a while there, so when I heard they were back in stock, we grabbed them up! They are really lovely in person.

The bed frame we might get is even prettier...there are wrought iron finials on top of the wooden posts at each corner...it's gorgeous!! :D

I'm really pleasantly surprised by their quality. I was bracing myself for something thin and cheap.
