Next regularly scheduled coffee is Sunday, March 9. I am intending to bring some small donation over to Our Lady of Good Counsel Home, the hospice that took such wonderful care of Rachel those last few weeks. Anyone want to join me ( Read more... )

Fantastic idea! And, that will be two days before Rachel's birthday, so a lovely memorial/present on her behalf. :-)

Okay - that was harder than I expected. Did okay with the first person but then burst out crying with the second.

The suggested items were:
Money is always good and versatile
Paper goods - kleenex, paper towels, toilet paper, etc
Individual gifts - up to 11 men and 11 women
Any combination thereof

So - thoughts, suggestions, ideas?

It does still catch you off-guard, doesn't it? I was talking to LJP about Rachel one night and started crying. It seems so unexpected after two years.
