Going to college has taught me to be more tolerant of people who are different of myself. Looking back on the beginning of the year, I'm shocked at how untolerant I was of others. Shocking, I know. I mean, I grew up in the Bay Area for goodness sakes! I used to pride myself on being tolerant of everyone, but when I was really, I mean really faced

umm... yea. I didn't mention that as soon as I finished this post I went to listen to some really bad pop rock that I was even embarrassed to listen to in 7th grade (see: Blink 182, Bowling for Soup.) For nostalgic value, of course... *shifty eyes.*
I mean, I'll probably never like boy bands because of the stigma that I attached to them oh so long ago, but I'm not against their innate bubble gumness. I mean, I do -secretly- know some of the lyrics to quite a few backstreet boys and nsync songs, and I will admit that it's fun to get together with old friends and sing along to the Spice Girls. i still mix up all the old embarassing stuff with my new favorites; i can't help it! something about blink 182, for example, still makes me smile. i'm no longer "aghhh grr i am little punk only they know my inner teenage angst!" but i can enjoy it for what it is a lot more now.
also, i found glitter mini 9's "kiss the liberator" cd at goodwill (in olympia! crazy, right?) and they are even better than i remember. also, i can listen to them now and not worry about my parents hearing every time they cuss.
(on a side note -- i'm not dead! i swear! i just decided to take 20 credits. man, that was dumb.)
