I solemnly swear not to hold the pocket doors against you, or any other detail of the architecture of Jack's house. Any inconsistencies I shall blame on the location crew.

Pocket doors aren't all that common in the Western US, where I have lived all my life, so I'm suspecting those sneaky Canucks. I can remember two instances out of all the houses where I've lived or visited, and that's it. (One was in my parents' house, and was added during a minor remodel; the other was in a really lovely old house in Portland, OR, built in the early 20th century. It was discovered during a minor remodel, having been covered up by a former owner in a former remodel.)

There's two in my brother's basement, on either side of the bathroom. I don't know that I've ever seen any others. Must be a "Colorado Springs" specialty, lol.
