Krug is the perfect example of what I was talking about in my last comment. It isn't so much a solution-free universe as it is a single solution universe. There is more than one right answer to the question and she absolutely cannot see that. It can only happen in the way she insists it must happen in her tortured mind.

You are doing much the same thing. You have one picture of what a successful Sid will look like, but there is more than one answer to your question as well. It is time to pack in your picture of success and find another one - not time to quit the game.
