Just last night, I finished re-reading Illusions, by Richard Bach. Strange. It has helped ease the "gnawing," if at least momentarily. It's a quick read; I'd be happy to trade it out for the book you gave me. -Ed.
What book I gave who? Poor 'Anonymous'... I wouldn't want to admit to having read "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" in a public forum, either, but come on. ;-)
I actually have two ideas of who you are; and if you are the person I gave the "Eats, Shoots, and Leaves" book to - I'd actually take your advice.

Bingo.
Yes, I definitely hesitated. But I take my salve wherever I can get it: janitors, hokey books, carney workers... oh shit, I think I just spotted the problem. Perhaps you SHOULDN'T take my precious advice... Well, there are at least a few gems in "Illusions" that momentarily quieted the onslaught. (Plus, I couldn't let that subtle coincidence slide without saying something.) We brilliant, tortured geniuses have to take whatever we can get to keep our beasts at bay in order to get our bidding done, eh? No matter how embarrassing.

If you keep this up I'll have to inform you that I'm quitting the gang. Of course I'll be sworn to secrecy - but what good will that do you when you're dead
