so why is it so uncomfortable and embarrassing to talk about diarrhea? we all have it occasionally, some of us more than occasionally, and sometimes it would be nice to say to a co-worker who asked what i was sick with to say, "diarrhea!". instead, i have to come up with euphemisms like "intestinal trouble" or "sick in my guts". and that sounds

Diarrhea is such an ugly word. Like scabies and herpes.

true story, I once used having diarrhea as an excuse to leave work early to go drink w/friends (I did not actually have diarrhea, but yeah, who's gonna question that?)
