"I do not know," Teyla admits, her hands cupped around a mug of tea. "I was very, very close."

"Avoidance is a time-honored coping mechanism, Doctor," John says.

Ronon doesn't say anything, just sits semi-propped up in his bed in the infirmary and silently maintains eye contact.

"They all thought it was me," Elizabeth says. "They thought it was me asking him to play the part."

"I'm up to two miracles a day," Rodney says conversationally.

John rubs the back of his neck. It's an excellent way of not meeting Kate's eyes. "She asked."
