I've been rather busy with packing, lately. This is the part of moving that is never any fun. I suppose that it would be easier to hire someone to do this, but I'd rather not have a stranger pawing my personal items ( Read more... )

It wasn't diseased. It was perfectly healthy until I squished it. And if by "hire" you mean "pay for services rendered" then sure, I don't mind pitching in.

It won't be long now. I've been stopping by every day after work to have a look at how things are progressing, and the workers are making remarkable progress! I'll be a little sad to leave this apartment after all the good times I've had here, but I have no doubt we'll have just as much fun in our new home, if not more so. Maybe when we get properly settled in, we should have a housewarming party.

I thought it might be fun. We do have a splendid area for entertaining now, so it would be a shame if we didn't have a few friends over to make use of it.
