I must admit that to all appearances, Herr Ryuuzaki and Herr Dinosaur seem to have a rather intelligent pet.  It's uncanny how the beast acts like it understands what is said to it.  Particularly when caviar is mentioned.

Well, she is a black cat. Such animals have long been associated with the arcane arts, possibly with good reason.

And I have a feeling all cats are born knowing words like "caviar".

I only mention it as a possibility. It's not an avenue of study I have pursued very deeply. Still, there must be some reason why people have kept them as familiars for so many years. Then again, she might just be an unusually clever cat.
