OK, well does anyone have a use for 3 gallons of really fine Apple Vinegar? Well, that cider recipe didn't exactly work out, I forgot to adjust TIMES as well as the the ingredients. Oh well, not like I've had time in the last couple weeks anyway. Doubles are the word of the day at work, They have however gotten away from the word Mandatory. I was ( Read more... )

Well, that's the trick... the job is constantly evolving, So I'm not sure what the qualifications are today. I mean, In the beginning there was light and it was good... oh wait, wrong evolution... In the beginning we were sposed to be doing heater work, theft of service, High bill complaints, Meter work, transfers, taps, and gas odors... Now we are at doing gas and electric emergencies, meter maintenance, and a whole lot of scrambling. When it was posted internally they wanted primary qualified folks (the folks allowed to work the HIGH voltages), but it didn't pan out. Partially because they didn't want to train the rest of us for primary, if they did it would mean they'd HAVE to pay us top rate... long story, rather not get into it now.

Well I went home from work at 8pm tonight...

Tree's were everywhere in the road...
It was funny I got behind this really slow guy in front of me, and a guy who took awhile to catch up to me was a little annoyed that I was a much better driver than he was he thought it'd be cool to pass us both, but was impeeded mid accelleration due to the opposing lane being completely blocked by a downed tree...

The light at Cold Stream Rd & Rt113 was out, and there were a few of those huge Peco trucks taking up a bit of my lane barreling down Pughtown rd...

Heh, I went home at 0700 this morning, and trees were still everywhere in the road & on the wires. The only issue I almost had with hitting anything was all the Deer on Joshua road at 1 am. Heh, The light at coldstream & 113, the light at trooper & main, the light at park & main, the lights in half of wyncote, half of norristown, etc. There was Lots out, but the crews were out working on it, just takes time with fewer people. Part of it is a new DOT requirement, after the CDL guys are up for 16 hours they are required to be off for 10 or 12 hours now instead of 8 (any vehicle over 11001 pounds ( ... )

I know what you can do with the Vinegar hermetic_light July 29 2005, 04:31:03 UTC
You put on a bright colored hat( preferedly pink),two white novelty gloves, ( like the kind that an oversized mascot would wear), sit on a set of INFLATED bagpipes, Place your feet in the vinegar, hopefully while wearing rainbow toe socks, and sing " I like traffic lights" through Wax Lips.

Just like our founding fathers.

What?
