I write about this subject all the time, but it doesn't make it any clearer for me.

Through facebook and other means, I've reconnected with old friends and it made me see why we were friends in the first place. We had a genuine connection about something, not just some event or activity. In fact, I just visited a friend in houston that I hadn't seen in 2-3 years.

One of my friends is in Iraq right now, whenever he is back in the states, I try to give him a call...except for this Christmas. It seemed like it was a pain for him to keep up with anyone other than his family, so I kinda quit trying.

I think time is the ultimate test though: we'll see how it all changes if I get married and or move off somewhere. The internet will make me feel like I'm connected...even if I'm not.
