I like the XBox, it has a lot of good games on it. Only trouble is that it seems to have issues with freezing and uh, dying-- BUT Microsoft covers that for three years, I hear oO.
Also, looks to continue to be getting good games, and I highly enjoy Oblivion XD
It sounds like you would have no desire for a PS3 (don't want a Blu-ray player and you want backwards compatibility). With the money saved purchasing an Xbox360, you could grab several of the "hot new games." After playing Assassin's Creed, I'd say the image quality was quite impressive.
my $0.02 seem to be...multiplying. XDmurmur_twinsFebruary 14 2008, 15:20:34 UTC
either way you go, image quality is going to suffer SEVERELY without an hdtv. this is the voice of experience talking here, hehe. also, as far as games themselves go, you know already that i'm rooting 360 all the way. there is literally one game so far that has captured my attention on the ps3 ( which would be ratchet and clank, in all honesty ) but that one game is not enough to convince me to shell for that system. it's way too expensive, overly glitchy, has practically no backwards compatibility...i could go on
( ... )
I hate the xbox too, but even I'd rather have one of those than a ps3. My dad has one, and we pretty much mess around with it whenever we go over there. As far as I know, there's nothing really good for the ps3 yet, although I'm sure eventually the game developers will put stuff on it that we really want to play, but I'm hoping by that time it'll be less ridiculously expensive. -_- This stupid blu-ray thing is the reason it costs so much, and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
Also, I really want to play Eternal Sonata. D: It looks so pretty and omg Chopin ♥
