By any logic, it was a good thing that Jesus died. For believers, anyway.

Although the arrest, trial and execution of such a blameless individual were the greatest miscarriage of justice in history, Jesus' utterly selfless act of self-sacrifice is the one thing standing between humanity and total doom.
