Will some kind individual enlighten me as to what is the point of those color-spectrum bars captioned by "(Random objects here) are love"? I totally do not get it.
"A little while ago, colorbars were all the rage, as a response to the gay and anti-gay marriage backlash in the US. It began with a colorbar posted in a journal, proclaiming that person's support for gay marriages. And it escalated from there! Some colorbars were quite simple ones, just showing the user's support for one stance or another. But then it got silly, with Borg colorbars, various Johnny Depp colorbars, band colorbars, Hobbits: you name it, it was made into a colorbar!"
And of course, its origin is the Livejournal community. :D

Actually, I don't get a lot of things you US people do to livejournals and whatnot. Asian cultures, too. O_o
