We just adopted a lovely tan and white hound mix 'doggie' as the kiddo has dubbed her. She keeps trying to say Lilly but can't quite do the hard L's yet!  The awesome folks at the local SPCA were really great and let our kiddo have the run of the joint to pick her favorite. Great people! Incredible 'doggie!' The hubby remains severely outnumbered

Aww, that is great to rescue an animal. How many animals do you have in total? I love animals but am allergic, but we have been feeding a feral cat so I kind of get my cat fix. I was worried about him over the winter so I bought an insulated outdoor pet house but of course he won't go into it, but likes to sit on top of it like Snoopy.

one cat, a calico named shyla
and now the pooch named lilly

but my cat is like 15 yrs old......and not really toddler happy....they war with one another.....
