At The Tone, Leave A Bleep

*giggles uncontrollably*

*Wipes tears of laughter from her eyes*

Still laughing. OK. Now that I can breathe again. Darlings, my Public Record post seems to be making the rounds ... it has been seen linked on several other blogs. And every time it is linked, there is a warning for tone. TONE! *snickers*

Let me impart a little wisdom: if you need a warning label on things you read, especially if the blog entry is about a controversial issue such as public record, gay marriage, abortion, racism, etc, then you are not mature enough to be having that kind of discussion. Step aside and let the adults work it out. Because topics like that are an emotional rollercoaster ride and there is no room for such silly talk about things like tone.

When people start concerning themselves with nitpicking for tone, word choice, etc, I find that means two things. One, they have nothing interesting to contribute to the conversation and don't really want to resolve anything. They just like to watch a good shit-stirring. And two, you never really have the discussion you should be having. It is why a lot of these discussions end up lasting until it wears itself out with no real resolution.

That's all. Will probably post something more interesting later, but right now I am just laughing too damned hard.
