Pulling it together for a con

Hey there! One thing you might want to check into is Flexible Spending - if your work offers it, it's a great way to pay medical expenses out of pre-tax dollars. You figure out what your expenses are likely to be for the year for things like co-pays, glasses, tylenol (seriously, it's covered), and then have them take the money out of your paycheck pre-tax - once you incur the expense you submit documentation and get your money back from the Flexible Spending fund. The reason it's great is that you don't have to hit the ginormous total expenses that you'd have to hit in order to deduct on your income taxes.

Thanks for the reminder! I have to wait until the end of the year to sign up, but this is a great way. Also, I got screwed on the dental/vision benefits due to a misunderstanding this year, so November will be very busy while I get this straightened out.

I just wish that husband-unit was better at paperwork - the ADHD is a killer. *He* has the time to track all of this, my boss is slightly cranky with me right now and I have to really dive into the work projects, which may mean dragging some home. I let being a baroness in the SCA occupy too much of my attention and now am paying for it.
