I got a job! I got a job! A real job, not just this extra stuff. Which has been both fun and informative though. I got to be on a game show, talk show (why do people feel a desire to talk about their sex problems on national television?), hair competition show, sitcom, and hour long drama. I feel like I've experienced a variety of shows and can ( Read more... )

Glad to hear that people stick it through, I'm not sure I would. And this one just got longer, since I went back with more to say. I'm going to attend births!

How are you doing? Counting down the days until you head back to the east? I might be coming up again for a court appointment to pay off a ticket. I'll keep you posted.

I'm so happy with my life, but I do mourn never having the cozy rainy days spent in my attic with you and Skye and a type writer, tea, and jazz. Guess I'll have to visit you in Connecticut for that.

Life is really, really good. I actually got a new job too - i'm going to be hired on as a research assistant at CSUN in a marine biology lab working on hydroids (cute little animals related to sea anemones). I will probably be quitting princess and starting full time at the lab in a couple weeks. Everything seems to be falling perfectly in place and coming together in a very exciting way. Damn life is good.
By the way "skinny legs and all" is one of my favorite books - in fact Tom Robbins is vying for the title of my favorite author of all time (I've read all but his newest book), so i'm very pleased that that is one of your lovely coinsidences. :)

Yes I AM. I'm not sure what you mean, but I am.

Yes, you must meet him. Everyone should, he's awesome. I can't wait for you to visit.

How long are you in town? Incidentally, Sam gets to book this club every third Wednesday of the month. If you and Carly wanted to resurrect NDPOA (sans Olivia sadly) he could totally book you. It's very low-key and fun, and kind of a bring your own crowd kind of thing.

That would be awesome!! Sam and I keep meaning to go to his studio for him to teach me how to play a kit, but then we get distracted. If I had a solid reason it would be way more motivating.

Wow.

Where do I begin? You are just one fanfuckingtastic grrrrl!!!

Congrats on the job... and I like that your raising hell and tempting fate... I'm all for it!

Ditto on the Tom Robbins comments.

Oh, and I think you asked, but I don't think I'll be making it out for Christmas. The funds just aren't there (and really in a lot of ways I'm just not up for the trip) but, I think it will be good to have my own Christmas in New York. I might go upstate with a friend for a white x-mas. Ok, that was a tangent. . . anyway... I am glad you're starting to feel a bit more settled and that you are exploring it with a man you adore.
