I LOVED this. As a health care clinician I know how important it is to say a kind word, offer explanations and a gentle human touch to those in the hospital. Too often people get caught up in their job and their routine and forget the patient has no idea what is going on, what will happen or if they will be ok. It's also so beautiful how you said you are never too old to cry. As an Occupational Therapist I tell my patients to let it out, it's therapeutic and natural. I just loved this. Thank you for writing it.
Hi Kathryn. I sent you a message on LJ, thanking you for the comment you left. In case you didn't get it, here's what it said. Smile. I'm so glad my piece was able to touch your heart. It took me a long time to be able to write it. I had to go deeper than I've gone in a very long time. If you think it'll help someone else, feel free to link them to it or just share it with them. My goal is to inspire as many people as possible or at least remind them they're never alone. I have a feeling just by your comment, you're one of those medical professionals who are one in a million. The kind who really care about people and treat the whole person. Is it okay if we keep in touch? Lauren
