I went down to Stratford upon Avon yesterday to go see Patrick Stewart and David Tennant in Hamlet.
It was the first time I saw the play performed live in English and I had a fantastic time. I'm in London atm but heading off home today

However, it was fabulous. I really liked the stage management and the props/costume etc. selection.
The fencing was quite well done as well, theatrical but fast, energetic and fun to watch.
Patrick Stewart is of course made for Shakespeare and rocked mightily. David Tennant was a good Hamlet, his accent was slightly all over the place but he was very energetic and believable, although when he was at his more manic I couldn't help but get slight The Doctor deja vu.
We bought the tickets pretty much a year ago, so yeah it's been a long wait. Worth it though :) ..and yeah that was why I wasn't involved at all in the fencing competition that weekend.
