Cool! I was thinking of getting a goldfish, but decided I couldn't be done with it. What sort of fish are you getting?

They sound pretty good, that is a big problem I have with goldfish - sure they're low maintenance, but they're not very *exciting*. If I could get hold of something brightly coloured that doesn't need too much maintenance that'd be perfect. They still need warm water though?

Actually goldfish aren't low maintenance. They're very hard to take care of properly. Although rewarding if you do. They can get up to 24 year old for example. Most goldfish that people keep never even reach sexual maturity (it takes them around 2-3 years to hit that ( ... )

Hey, good luck with the tank. Yes, heavy physical activity when the immune system is in full swing is a bad idea. It's like trying to run a virus scan and defragment your hard drive at the same time. Your body and PC react in the same way, AAAARRGGHHH!
Seriously though, get well soon, and hope it goes well with the tank.

You'll have to let me know when you've got it up and running (so to speak). A well managed fish tank looks spectacular.

haha yeah don't injure yourself! I have a fishtank aswell!! Good luck with the bettas. I had around 7 males so far (not at the same time of course) but somehow they don't like it in my tank. They never got older than 1 month or so...it's weird because I keep some fish that are much harder to keep and i don't have any problems..Now I am breeding those fellows http://www.amtra.de/images/platycoral.jpg and I also own some of those http://www.sommerfeld-net.de/images/aquarium/fisch/fisch_scalar.jpg
Good luck!!!!
