Everything in music is practically an extension of jazz. So really....everything's jazz. Classic music is just jazz with many many rules....thanks to the churches in the middle ages...and time.
I remember this one dude who was teaching guitar lessons. He picked up a complete book of chords and said "here's rock" and held up a couple pages... "here's metal" and held up a big chunk of the book. Then he closes the book, sets it down and says "here's jazz".
