Being in the middle of mutual friend who are now enemies is always tough. Though I try to not get our mutual friends involved, it usually happens in some form or another.

However, what occurred here is a break down in morality in Adrian. Weather or not he feels what he did was wrong, you need to decide if goes against your morality and beliefs. If it doesn't, well then you are just going to be suck in the middle.

Of course I'm heavily bias, but this certainly crosses the line in my own beliefs. If I was in your situation (trying to be neutral here) I personally would be very disappointed with Adrian. Would I alienate him? I don't know. I certainly wouldn't associate with him again.
