I live in a city that celebrates PIGS and BBQ! Which is basically the same thing. I love my city but the first thing that will catch any wonderer's or visitor's eye is that on each corner of main street, several other streets and in front of a few shops are average size pig statues (I seriously hate the pig statues!!!). What an interesting post! That is wierd that they have statues of pigs around.. I don't know if my city would ever do that. But it is an intriguing aspect, sort of - tradition.

Yes, its very weird but I think I have gotten use to them somewhat. I forgot to mention the big pig sand sculpture up town too! Though you probably wouldn't find this in any other town, I guess it's what makes us unique...in a good way.
