Anton LaVey was a smart, smart man. I adore the Satanic Bible, though more on the level of philosophy than anything.

I especially liked his take on the seven deadly sins. I quote it to people as often as I can. :D

I think the most amusing thing about it all is that LaVey deliberately named it Satanism for the shock value, when in all reality it's got NOTHING to do with devil worship or any of that claptrap the right-wing zealots (not to be confused with normal religious folks, the ones with common sense) try to paint it with. Quite the admirable way to get attention, IMO. xD
