It's a nice day in the Commons, and it seems plenty of people are out and about. The sculpted front of the Reception Bureau is perhaps even more welcoming in the sunlight. Those lucky few who arrived in Siglen today will have been shuffled toward that pleasant facade by one helpful native or another. Inside, they will have found equally pleasant

...but she wasn't there, was she? And she probably wasn't going to be.
For a moment, what was left of his smile faded from his face completely.
“Estelle...” He muttered softly. He didn’t think anybody heard that, but then he wasn’t paying too much attention to whether anyone might have been listening, either.

She had the day off work today so she decided to wander around the city for a bit before heading home.
"It's such a nice day today!", she stretches her arms up into the air, "Maybe I could go to the park?"
But something caught her eye not long before she said it. Someone was standing outside of the Reception Bureau and by the look of the papers in his hands, she could tell that he was new.
"Hello", she walked towards him slowly and waved her hand, "Welcome to Siglen!"
She then paused and bowed politely, "My nameis Usagi Tsukino, it's very nice to meet you"

"Yuri Lowell." He didn't match her bow, but he did nod politely. Then he glanced down at all the things he was holding and chuckled quietly. "I guess it's pretty obvious I'm new around here."

She had no real right to talk though, she didn't really read hers properly on her first day here! But she wasn't going to bring that up, oh no..
"So, do you know what job they've given you?"
She hadn't kept up to date with how things work out in the Bureau now, so she assumed that they still allocated jobs.

"Huh? Uh... give me a second to look." He flipped through some of the papers he was holding until he found one that looked relevant. And frowned at it, just slightly. "I'm... a janitor, apparently." Well, that wouldn't have been his first choice, but it seemed like something he could do, at least. He looked back at Usagi. "What about you?"

It wasn't the best job in the world, but she made money. Though she would prefer to be doing something that she was... more capable of.
"At least you won't knock anything over", she muttered under her breath, but he might have caught her saying that.

"There's more to knock over at a cafe than in a cleaning closet?" Not what she meant, he was sure, but he couldn't quite resist the comment. He wasn't clumsy, but somehow the idea of random things falling on his head from a pile of cleaning supplies didn't seem entirely out of the question.

She looked down, "Or trays with food could slip out of my hands when I trip..."
Reply
"Sounds like you would find things to knock over just about anywhere." The comment was teasing, yes, but not mean-spirited.

She looked down knowing that he was completely right about that, but... she didn't think someone she just met would tease her about that!

"I really didn't mean anything by it." She seemed like a perfectly nice person, tendency to knock things over or not.

She was a little too easygoing and trusting for her own good, but only Rei got away with teasing her like that and sometimes Mamo-chan...

He crossed his arms over his chest and cocked his head to one side while he waited for Yuri to turn around. It was going to be an interesting time. Maybe he wouldn't be bored.

He noticed the other man had kept a good bit of distance between them. Smart move.
"I didn't realize they let dead people in here." There was a hint of amusement in his voice as well, but much moreso a wary sort of distance.

"And relax, I'm in no mood for a fight."

"Good, I'm not either." But the rest of what he said was nothing short of confusing. He jumped out a window? Last Yuri saw him, he was laying on the floor at Zaude.
"And you have, as far as I remember, but that doesn't make a whole lot of sense if I'm talking to you." Had he not really been dead? That didn't make any sense, either, though.
