I found a big bag of letters written by my ancestors in the 19th and very early 20th century. It's such beautiful handwriting but I sadly can't make out what most of it says.
That would be a very cool find. I dug around on the internet for an image with the alphabet and just practiced it. Once I had figured out the unusual letters it was reasonably manageable. Now I just need to get better at German.
I’m the same with pasta! I am learning to eat less of it and more fibre because I have had two colonoscopies with polyps removed both times. I can’t think of anything more horrible than colon cancer, but here I am at high risk for it. Nothing like a health scare to encourage better behaviour - an app to help me track my nutrition is really helpful too.
I was also told to increase my fibre intake due to my GI problems. I have only had pasta once since my hospital episode. It is sad for my taste buds, but you are correct. Health scares are the best motivators. It's what convinced my father to stop being an alcoholic. After over 20+ years of drinking, he quit cold turkey.
Good for him! That is really tough - there is a strong physical element to addiction, not just the mental challenges for those of us dealing with pasta withdrawal.
Cumin, you say? I rarely have that. I really do love coriander which the world is very divided on, but I'd like the world to eat more caraway seed, because that really is very tasty!
