well, kind of. considering einstein's twin paradox that talks about how if twins are born and one is put in a rocketship that went the speed of light then came back down to earth, say 20 years later in regular time, would still have aged but a lot less. and even though time stops when you are going the speed of light, time still passes. so technically, it is kind of a unit of time also. (the amount of time it takes for light to travel for year in that time.) because it's a lot slower than a regular year.
