I'm sitting here on my computer watching a file copy status bar jump wildly from 4 minutes left, to 20 minutes left, to everything in between. I'm trying to prepare to finally remove my presence from my previous computer of residence. But I take solace from one thing: With only 10 days of playtime available to me, I didn't have a chance to get jaded, or allow the game to lose its luster. Reading some of the forum posts from some of the long-time closed beta players, it seems that that there are things that could be improved, classes that aren't up to snuff, mechanics/balance issues, whatever.

Nope, mostly I was left with the "sign me up, I'll pay to play right now! I don't *care* if my Night Elf rogue looks like he's playing "airplane" because he's stuck in thrown-weapons mode! I have every confidence that you'll fix that in the next patch!" feeling. Which is good, because it's only going to get better before retail release.

Blizzard's sales and marketing weenies must be having fits over the way people fell over themselves to enroll in the stress test, and how flooded they probably are with applications for the closed beta random drawing you just told us about. This game is going to make Blizzard metric buttloads of cash.
