Happy Thanksgiving all!

Leaving in a few hours and I'm sick as hell. Without fail when I go to NYC I get sick - I'm either allergic to the city or to Jon.

But I'm still in the giving (thanks) mood, so here's some music and a fantastic Thanksgiving recipe.

Beat Happening songs (the first song is especially great). Right-click and Save Target As.

I love Catwalk. I can remember years ago putting it on a mixtape for my girlfriend, only to be told that she hated it because it sounded crappy and amateurish. I tried to explain that that was half the fun, but I think she missed the point.

Dude can seriously not carry a tune. And I love the forced, yet paradoxically nonchalant, bad rhymes. That whole album is great - I think I listened to it 3 times on the bus yesterday. Well, the whole album except for that last track - ouch! My sense of humor only goes so far.

Ghetto yams=

One can of yams, drained.
One tbsp. sugar (brown, if you got it).
1 can Reddi-Whip.

Spoon one yam half into mouth.
Mix in one tsp. of sugar.
Squirt (for 3 seconds) Reddi-Whip into mouth.
Swallow.
Repeat.

In case of yam emergency, substitute any type of liquor. Delete sugar and Reddi-Whip.

Ghetto MooseTracks Ice Cream:
Vanilla Ice Cream
Peanut Butter
Hershey's Syrup
Peanuts

Scoop half a spoonful of ice cream, then fill the other half of the spoon with peanut butter. Put a squirt of chocolate syrup on top of the two. Top with a peanut.

In case of immediate obesity, delete all four.

(Seriously, I used to eat this every day in high school...as dessert for an entire medium pizza.)
